Wirral's First Bi Lingual Nursery opens
Published on 11-11-2017 Jenny Birch from Wallasey has opened Habla, a Spanish-English dual language nursery on the site of the former Wendy House Nursery in Upton. Habla is the first Wirral nursery to provide fully bilingual early years provision and will cater for up to 30 children. Jenny, who studied Spanish at school and university, set up Habla with her mother, Lynne, who has worked in primary schools for over 25 years and will manage the nursery full time.Read Full Story

Devonshire Park Primary School competition winner
Published on 20-05-2013 Jessica Jones, a year six pupil at Devonshire Park Primary school in Prenton was presented with her prize for finishing second in the recent ’Create an Ad’ competition with Let’s Go! magazine. The Wirral wide competition took schools from across the borough and matched them with prominent local businesses. The year six classes then acted as creative agencies and designed adverts for those businesses, to be published within the Let’s Go! magazine. Each pupil within the class designed an advert and the business owner chose the best example to publish which was also entered into an overall competition to find the best adverts from the whole of Wirral.Read Full Story
