Alison Rose - My passion in life has always been learning and teaching arts and crafts!
Over the years I have added Ceramics, Painting, Embroidery and Sculpture to my main passions of Felt, Jewellery making and Rag Rugging. I am a member of the International Feltmakers Association.
I like to make the workshop days as fun and enjoyable as possible and everyone will go home with at least one of their own creations!
"Thanks for a lovely day. I was delighted with the necklaces I made, I think you gave me back my inspiration!" - D.S Cheshire, England
"I had a wonderful day. I never knew you could do so much with felt!" - D.G. Derbyshire, England
"We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with you and found your teaching style very supportive! We are already talking about coming back for another day as soon as we can manage it." - J.W.Cheshire, England
Have a fabulous, fun and creative day with one of my artistic school workshops. I can travel to your school for the workshop or have a limited number at my own workshop.
If you would like your class to learn a new craft, improve existing skills, or learn more advanced techniques; I can tailor the workshop to suit your needs. Make something for a friend or loved one, or simply treat yourself to an inspiring day, designing an original handmade craft item.
Learn all you need to know on my course to take your new skill home, trying new ideas, developing your own skills and evolving your style.

Rag Rugging Workshop
Rag Rugging is a process of using strips of fabric to make into a rug in a variety of ways.
Rag Rug Tradition
Rag Rug making was very much a working class tradition in Britain. Rag Rugs were made out of necessity and were rough strips of fabric generally cut out of clothes which were no longer in a condition to be used as anything other than rags
Rag Rug Making
With the current trend towards recycling, rag rugging is an ideal way of using up any oddments of fabric or old clothes which are beyond being able to be recycled for the charity shops.
There are so many projects which you can use Rag Rug making for, from wall hangings, bags, cushions or simply as a rug! Try your hand at designing an original piece of artwork and get hooked on Rag Rug making!
