Skip2BFit was started by professional boxing trainer John McCormack, a former No.2 ABA ranked Heavyweight of Great Britain. John’s passion for boxing and fitness training gave rise to the Skip2BFit programme, which has now proved a real hit with over 500,000 children (and their teachers). Combining the traditional fun element of skipping with a ‘new generation’ digital skipping rope, pupils are rediscovering the joys of exercise. Box2Bfit workshops are now available for junior and senior children.

“It was a FANTASTIC day enjoyed by all (children AND staff!). Our school is still buzzing from the event. Children are busy in the playground trying to improve their scores everyday; I would definitely recommend Skip2BFit to any school!” Vicky Tonkin, Poltair School, St. Austell Cornwall

Skip2BFit has developed their own unique Skipping Programme in a bid to help cut rising child obesity levels. It has been designed to educate children about fitness and healthy eating,  as well as improving their maths and computer literacy, and to date has directly impacted the lives of over 500,000 children.

Skip2BFit use colourful and easy to use counting ropes that children love. They teach children how to skip in five easy steps in a very short time. They then challenge the children to see how many skips they can do in two minutes. Skip2BFit have their own CD with tracks of music all timed for two minutes. After getting a score from their first skip, the children are then challenged to improve. It doesn’t matter what the first was, it may be two or 200, but anyone can improve and the majority do. By doing this, they experience that effort and perseverance can lead to success. We call this the ‘yes feeling’, and this can be transferred into the classroom, to help motivate and achieve.

Skip2BFit is the only skipping organisation that has become a National Partner of Change 4 Life promoting skipping nationally together with healthy eating. They believe that being healthy is not just about exercise. To encourage Healthy eating Skip2BFit provides free fruit in all workshops, either blueberries, clementines or apples by our fruit  sponsors.

After the skipping workshop they also provide a unique skip2bfit kitbag, providing teachers with all the resources they need to continue with the programme.

Prime Minister Rt. Hon. David Cameron commented when visiting Skip2Bfit in action: “Skip2Bfit is a brilliant new refreshing idea for schools.”

Box2BFit takes the concept of aerobic exercise to new levels.  Designed specifically for older children who wish to take on new and exciting challenges, the Box2BFit system is fully modular and easily tailored to fit your classes.
