Awesome Walls Climbing Centre is an ideal venue for an exciting and unique school visit. They offer a variety of climbing sessions whether you are looking to complement your physical education curriculum, provide opportunities for personal development, teach climbing skills or just have some fun.

Awesome Walls has two of the largest indoor climbing centres in England and strive to offer the best indoor climbing experience in the region. They can accommodate groups of six people upwards and discounts are available on group bookings of 30 or more. Their qualified instructors have extensive experience of providing group sessions for all ages and abilities, from junior novice climbers to year 11 GCSE groups or teacher team building sessions. AWCC's can provide one off sessions or a structured programme spread over several days or weeks. If you have specific requirements or desired learning outcomes, they will also develop a customised programme to maximise the benefits for your group.

The Centre’s climbing walls start from a mere 2 metres and go up to an awesome height of 17.5 metres so there is truly something for everyone from the timid to the fearless. They tailor sessions for Year 10 and 11 classes in order to experience climbing as part of their GCSE syllabus. Instructors follow the Edexcel syllabus and have a proven track record of achieving high marks with the many schools that have used them. If you are following a different syllabus, sessions can be adapted to fit your needs and GCSE assessment sheets are available online to download.

A child’s experience of learning to climb is a memorable one and can help with the development of teamwork, self confidence, trust, motivation and fitness. Climbing enables children to cope with fear and stress, and encourages self reliance and responsibility for others and also provides the perfect opportunity for an unforgettable school trip. Sessions include instruction from fully qualified and experienced instructors and all equipment hire. If preferred you can take a group with your own instructor. All groups using instructors not provided by Awesome Walls Climbing Centre must provide proof of insurance and the instructor's qualifications on their first visit to the centre.
