Avon Tyrrell activity centre is set in 65 acres of private grounds on the south west boundary of the New Forest and is part of the national youth work charity UK Youth. Offering both environmental education and adventurous activities, it is the ideal venue for a residential school trip. With safety being a key priority, all sessions are led by fully qualified and experienced instructors.
Activities are run with a personal development approach using the ethos of ‘challenge by choice’ to ensure that every young person works within their own ability levels and is encouraged to challenge themselves appropriately.
“The students had a very enjoyable visit and with your staff being so helpful and enthusiastic it ensured that we had a memorable time-we will be back” St Josephs School

Self Guided Activities
We realise that many of our groups are working to a tight budget when making plans for a residential, but want to offer a full activity programme to their group. For this reason we offer a number of self guided activities for you to use with your group during your stay.
Some of these come with a leader pack and equipment to enable you to run the sessions, whilst others are set up around the grounds and are available for your use by prior arrangement.
These are great fun, can be run at any time by you and are great value.
