“Stephen kept their attention for the whole talk, enabled them to interact, ask questions and to laugh while learning. Many teachers spend a lifetime trying to be able to do this for one hour yet Stephen did it with what appeared little effort! I have kept various animals for many years and learnt more in the few hours than in the past few years about animals. Purely fantastic.” David Eyles -Lewis School, Pengam
Who are we? – Tropical Inc aim to educate students of all ages on the natural behaviour of exotic animals using a varied programme of fun, interactive presentations and displays. For educational establishments they offer a flexible programme, adaptable to any stage of the curriculum from nursery to university with bespoke packages available to cover specific requirements.
Our presentations – Tropical Inc offer unique talks on various environments around the world e.g. The Amazon Rainforest and Deserts. School Presentations are tailored to all key stages of the national Curriculum. Working very closely with nurseries, primary, secondaries and Universities.
We know they work! – Tropical Inc has developed presentations for over 10 years to give you an experience to remember.
Who’is teaching who? – By encouraging children’s natural curiosity, the secrets of environments such as the Rainforest will take them on an almost magical Journey. Then we’ll explain how they can create and maintain their very own wildlife habitat. Before long, they’ll be teaching their friends and families without even realising it.
The undoubted stars of the show are the animals, including Meerkats, Genets, Bush babies, Snakes, Skunks, Parrots, Scorpions, Tarantulas, Bugs and creepy crawlies, Lizards, Parrots, Owls, Pygmy Hedgehogs, and Wallabies and more. Students get a close up and personal experience of the animals and with such a close encounter they can truly appreciate the animal's colour, texture, detail, behaviour, personality, beauty and much more. Presentations always provide an educational experience for guests to learn about the animals and their natural environments. Audiences have a unique and exciting opportunity to hold or stroke the animals which have been chosen for their temperament and friendly nature.
Presentations are based on 1 hour sessions which can be tailor your specific requirements to either introduce a new topic to your class, or consolidate work already done.
Topics can consist of Habitats, Life Cycles, Minibeasts, Endangered Species, Conservation, Camouflage, Adaptations, Classification of all living things, The Rainforest and Deserts.
After such a personal first hand educational experience it is hoped audiences will develop a greater appreciation of how amazing all animals are and how important they are to the environments they come from. It is hoped that this will help to encourage the preservation of their environments and therefore save some of these species from disappearing from our planet altogether.
