Professional actor and science teacher David Hall presents dynamic, interactive shows, co-written and directed by Johnny Ball, revealing the excitement and wonder of science - Practical, Fun, Packed with Science and Completely Unforgettable – whilst his Maths and Drama Workshops engage and inspire the widest range of pupils from KS1 to KS4.

“A big thank you for your performances yesterday. They were outstanding as always. A fantastic time was had by all.” - Dr Mark Venables, Norwich School

Science

Sir Isaac Newton, ‘Britain’s Greatest Genius’, explodes into the room to tell you of his life, discoveries and achievements – as well as those who inspired him - with many a squirmingly corny joke and unforgettable demonstration along the way. IK Brunel, the inspiring engineer, voted one of the Greatest Britons, for whom nothing was impossible and whose achievements shaped our world, guides you through his life, adventures and achievements and encourages his audience to consider how they too might change the world, whilst Michael Faraday, voted Britain’s greatest inventor, opens his audiences’ eyes to the wonders of electricity from its static origins to the electrical wonderland in which we all now live. David is also very happy to consider commissions.

All David’s shows are guaranteed to entertain and inspire even the least “scientifically minded” and provide an unforgettable experience to refer to for years to come.

“Edutainment at its best!”

Maths

David’s hugely popular maths workshops include Mathmagics, an interactive tour through the amazing worlds of Maths, sharing many great tricks and stories along the way - and Maths Circus, a unique, dynamic and exciting project combining Maths, Circus and Performance, designed to develop students’ skills and confidence whilst  giving teachers new and exciting techniques for teaching and reinforcing numeracy. Active, challenging and great fun.

Shakespeare and Drama

Inspired by his professional acting work (Shakespeare’s Globe, London’s West End etc) David delivers highly popular and hugely enjoyable workshops in Shakespeare, Voice and Physical Theatre. He is equally happy working on existing projects and can adapt his work to all ages and abilities.

“Exciting. Enlightening. A pure clinic in Shakespearean acting!"

Whether for Science, Maths or Drama, David’s infectious energy, enthusiasm and passion guarantee an unforgettable event that will be referred to for years to come.
