Sandfields Games - Free Interactive Flash Resources for Teachers
Sandfields Games is a free resource for educators, used by hundreds of schools around the world. These educational games are fun and interactive and can be adapted for any subject and any age group and most importantly are completely free and open source. Games can be used to add interest to literacy, numeracy, languages, learning to tell the time, general knowledge and other curriculum areas
The games have been written by Stewart J J Davies, Head of ICT at Sandfields School. Many of these resources can be edited to suit your needs by editing the xml file for each using notepad. Different examples are shown. These files are quite large and take a few seconds to load on broadband. Downloads are zip files and contain html, swf, xml and fla source. Ask your IT expert for help if you are unsure.
To play flash movies you will need to install Flash Player.
These resources are given freely to be used and edited as you please. Source code is included for flash developers and may be used to edit games. Games, even if edited are not to be redistributed or sold. This is a non-profit venture but if you enjoy my games, donations would be gladly received through paypal:
