If you think a ropes course is about getting wet and muddy whilst being shouted at. Think again! The Adventure Rope Course creates rewarding experiences for everyone, offering the perfect location for children’s team building activities that can teach valuable skills for life. With a challenging high ropes course and a fun low ropes course, this is an inclusive activity for all abilities.
“I took a group of 100 students aged 13 -15 with a view to challenging them by not only facing daunting tasks but working with people they had only just met. The students had a wonderful time and have talked non-stop about the activities since returning. The day was well planned with great leaders - we will be back!” M Massey, Assistant Head Teacher, Priory School, Shrewsbury
Above all, the Adventure Rope Course is about having fun which makes learning more memorable and rewarding, and ensures your group event is a day to remember. We can boast a wealth of experience working with teachers and students on a range of topics including: Teamwork, Leadership, Bushcraft and Campcraft, Risk Assessments, Marketing, Leisure and Tourism and Outdoor Leisure Management. We can also assess students against the Edexcel GCSE PE Climbing Syllabus. An Adventure Rope Course activity day will guarantee an experience which incorporates a rewarding mix of mental and physical challenges which will develop balance, agility and mental abilities.
We have AALS accreditation and all course Risk Assessments and policy statements are available to view online. Instructor Ratios are maximum 1:12 for activities which include Climbing, High All Aboard, Abseiling, Leap of Faith, Giant Swing, Jacobs Ladder, Parachute Simulator, Crate Stack Challenge, Adventure Tunnelling, Indoor and Outdoor Team-based Problem Solving Tasks. The centre has been designed to be as inclusive as possible. Physical prowess is NOT a requirement to participate and you need never leave the ground in order to be crucial to the success of the day. There is even a staircase running up the tower for easy access!
All participants are encouraged to belay (provide the safety cover) for each other and to look out for all of the safety points for each task whether they want to actually try the task themselves or not. We operate a very strict ‘Challenge by Choice’ policy, which leaves each participant to decide how far they want to do. Visitors are never forced or coerced further than they want to go and each participant has a total right of veto.
Adventure Rope Course also operate an outreach programme where we will visit your school and offer indoor and outdoor team-based problem solving tasks, foil fencing, archery, orienteering, bush craft and camp craft activities. In certain circumstances we can also look at putting up some tree-based activities for the duration of the visit if you have suitable mature trees in your grounds.
