“It was a pleasure to work with such a professional company. The activities were different and exciting and the facilitators were excellent.” Jane Pickerden, Extended Schools, Ealing
“The dancer was brilliant - skilled dancer and superb with the children (and adults!). They have been inspired to carry on with the dance learned.” BureValley School, Norwich
Interactive dance workshops encourage children to express themselves through dance and gives them the opportunity to create and perform using any of 40 available dance styles including Greek dance, Flamenco, street dance or choreography from a musical.
Memorable music workshops offer the chance to compose and perform alongside highly skilled professional musicians from major UK orchestras. Experience the sounds of Britain since the 1930s, take your compositions into orbit with a space topic or select one of 60 other themes.
Bring a Latin flavour to school with music from South America and a samba workshop. African drumming workshops are a great introduction to rhythm and percussion techniques. Education Group’s facilitators bring drums for every child and each day is interactive, allowing children to contribute as part of a team.
Education Group’s unique forensic science workshops focus on a crime scene with skeletons and clues found in the school hall. Pupils work in small groups on different aspects such as fingerprint examination, identification of hairs & fibres, identification of impressions and other techniques to solve the mystery.
Story factory workshops draw on language and speaking skills, with children developing characters and settings using their imaginations with facilitator support. Stories are never told in the same way twice; piloted by the children’s vivid imaginations, resulting in pride and a strong sense of ownership. There are many stories to choose from or you can suggest something new.
Education Group also provides other services to schools, including a class music teacher service, providing fully qualified music teachers for one to five days per week, with lesson plans, covering the National Curriculum KS 1 and 2.
Education Group provides extended services to hundreds of schools. With many schools opening up facilities outside of school hours, Study Support is seen as a key contributor to Every Child Matters and is part of the Change for Children agenda.
