New Vision Arts is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company.
Our aim is to bring children of all different beliefs and backgrounds together in workshops where they can work together on creating pieces of art, music, or dance.
Our workshops are fun, creative and also educational at the same time.
What We Do
We provide single lesson educational workshops using the mediums of stained glass, drumming, percussion or dance.
We also undertake longer projects if required. Stained glass projects culminate in a stained glass window created using the children's designs, that is then installed in the school.
Drumming and dance projects result in a performance by the children of their new skills.
Projects are created specifically to suit any event, celebration, or aspect of the curriculum that is the current focus of the school.
Examples of our work
Ss Peter & Paul, Wolverhampton
The children at Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School worked on designs for a stained glass window to mark the schools name change. Formerly The Giffard, the school celebrated the change to Ss Peter and Paul by running a stained glass project that culminated in a striking window being installed in the school.
Whitley Academy, Coventry
Music students had a great time with New Vision Art's drummer doing blues music workshops. Using a variety of instruments they got some good sounds going and made a success of the day. Some of the students at the academy also got some one to one tuition on the drum kit!
Brierly Hill School, West Midlands
Year 2 children at Brierly Hill Primary School learnt all about stained glass and then made their own stained glass pieces as Christmas presents for family members.
The children made gift bags for their lovely work and had to keep what they had made a secret until Christmas when they could give their gifts to their loved ones.
Assistant headmistress Miss Bridgewood said that the presents went down a treat with parents!
