Murderous Maths
Murderous Maths is a series of books by Kjartan Poskitt.

Kjartan has been visiting schools and festivals all over the UK since 1998. In that time he has spoken to over 150,000 children and done numerous radio and tv appearances. His live sessions are best suited to ages 8-12 (school years 3-8) or family events, and there is no limit to the size of audiences. He performs a variety of features from his award-winning books including flexagons, magic squares, strange number facts, tricks and mysteries. The maths sessions last up to 75 minutes and involve lots of general participation and bringing volunteers up on stage.

As well as maths sessions (lasting up to 75 minutes), he is happy to do talks on space, maths and music, and author Q&A sessions.  If you are planning book sales, he would be delighted to meet kids and sign at any free time during a visit. He can also do maths sessions for teachers, either after school or for conferences.

“A stand-up maths routine has children and teachers in fits of laughter...maths has never been so much fun.” – Times Educational Supplement.

“Today’s talk ranks as the most entertaining event we have ever had.” - Victoria Nemeth, maths coordinator, Highgate Junior School
