Inspector Science are specialists in developing and delivering fun, hands-on workshops in primary schools. Fantastic resources and enthusiastic teaching brought to your classroom. Established in 1990, their team of experienced primary school teachers also offer full science and technology weeks and in-service CPD. Inspired teaching to get the children running to their next science and technology lessons!

Slime Science Workshop
A distinct favourite with the children as real ‘slime’ is used, they make and investigate the properties of slime. The emphasis is on measurement, fair testing and AT1 skills.
Workshops for years 3 to 6. Supporting ‘Making New Material’ - Milepost 3 IPC. QCA Unit 5D.

Electrical Circuits Workshop
Investigating and experimenting with circuits, switches, conductors and buzzers. Plenty of resources for all children to learn by experimenting and testing. A range of workshops for pupils in years 1 to 6. Supporting ‘Energy and Fuels’ and ‘The Physical World’ - Milepost 3 IPC. QCA Units 2F, 4F, 6G.

 

Toys & Technology Workshop
The children become ‘Toy Inventors’ and use levers and pulleys to make toy fishing rods and pop-up toys. Workshops for year 1 and 2. Supporting ‘Toys’ - Milepost 1 IPC. QCA Unit 2C.

 

Forces & Motion Workshop
Investigating and experimenting with pushes and pulls, magnets, friction and airpower. An abundance of resources in a range of workshops for pupils in years 1 to 6. Supporting ‘The Physical World’ - Milepost 3 IPC. QCA Units 1E, 2E, 3E, 4E, 6E.

Standard workshops are 2 hours each, one class in the morning and one class in the afternoon. More workshops available, please see the website for details. We also deliver CPD based INSET courses to support class teachers. Each course is based on a workshop approach with hands-on involvement and theory.
