Established in 1998, The Action Station creates parties and learning sessions where children can develop their creative and imaginative skills while having lots of fun along the way. These unique sessions combine formal teaching skills with professional drama techniques. The Action Station continues to create new concepts and themes that deliver progressive learning environments.
Choose from:
Interactive Storytelling – where pupils can embark on a journey of adventure by inviting imaginary characters such as Mermaids or Knights into the classroom. Egyptian Explorers can bring ancient civilisations to life or a secret agent can add a new and exciting dimension to World War II.
Drama Workshops – experienced professional actors portray Aesop’s Fables or Greek Myths, bringing characters to life in the classroom. Your class can celebrate favourite characters from many children’s books. You can assist pupils to explore about Shakespeare, science, history or PSHE themes with sessions tailored to meet specific outcomes.
After school clubs – Action Station can also implement after school provision. Within a fun, ‘play’ environment, pupils work on their storytelling skills, exploring physical theatre and forms of non verbal communication. Using a variety of confidence building, creative games, pupils can participate in acting adventures and improvise plays based on favourite themes or characters.
Foreign Language sessions – ‘ACT the Language’ can also support MFL as an after school enrichment programme, where drama is used to bring foreign languages to life! This technique combines our knowledge of how children learn a foreign language with our understanding of performing arts. We have developed a unique highly effective method to make learning languages easy and fun.
Fun Days – We have a vast range of entertainers to bring fun and games to any Fund Raising Event or End of Term Celebrations. Their Circus skills workshops are popular with children and adults alike as they learn to juggle, spin plates or walk on stilts! Perhaps you’d prefer a puppet theatre, with lots of themes to choose from, captivating a younger audience while face painters and interactive storytellers bring your event to life.
