Integr8 Dance can offer your school a wide range of dance services to support your curriculum and extend your after school programme. Their programme can be any style of dance but the most popular is street dance, which gets all the children involved. The programme develops co-ordination, fitness, rhythm, balance and teamwork.
“Integr8 Dance has been working with our children for over a year and the work that they have done has been amazing. The after school dance club has offered the children a fantastic introduction to the Arts. We have seen a large improvement both in behaviour and academic work the children taking part, and they have become a group who work very well together. The opportunities for performance have meant the children have really grown in confidence. We are very much looking forward to working with Integr8 dance next year, and would fully recommend them to other schools in Hampshire.” Nick Smith, Head teacher, Winnall Primary School
After School Clubs – Integr8 Dance currently offers after school clubs in many Hampshire schools, both Primary and Secondary. After school street squads teach a mix of Hip-hop and Break dance and are very popular among the children, even in the smallest primary schools, due to a high number of children wanting to learn this popular urban style. Clubs work together to create their own dance crew, with the options of competing at local and national competitions, under your school name.
Special Educational Needs – Integr8 Dance specialise in being able to provide dance teaching to Special Needs schools in Hampshire with qualified, experienced teachers who understand the needs of children and young people with disabilities. As every school, class, and child is different they take an individual approach to every project.
They have experience in working with Education Centres and are able to provide tailored one-on-one, or small group classes to young people strugglingg at school. Dance can improve confidence and self-esteem and have a wider impact on other areas of their lives. Integr8 can visit your school or Centre and discuss dance ideas to enhance your pupils’ dance experience.
Primary Curriculum – The options for how Integr8 Dance can promote dance in your school, are endless. They work within the PE Curriculum to offer blocks of 6 or 12 dance lessons, often providing cover during PPA time. They can offer one off workshops to support a current project, such as African Dance, or for Key stage 1, ‘Hungry Caterpillar’ workshops, based on the book. Previous projects have seen Integr8 Dance teaching street dance at primary school discos, choreographing and directing school plays and supporting school teachers in the Rock Challenge.
Secondary Curriculum – Integr8 also offer tutors of GCSE and A-level Dance to Secondary Schools and Colleges. They have some of the best qualified dance teachers with years of experience and can offer regular classes in your school, or one off workshops in contemporary or Hiphop to inspire students or complement your current programme. They can also provide dance weeks or days for activity weeks in Hiphop, contemporary or any other style, for all abilities.
