Classic or traditional dance workshops will be familiar to most students and include Jazz - is swingy and sharp with quick movements that can require great flexibility; Contemporary - a versatile art form can be danced to almost any style of music, or combined with other dance forms to create new styles; Ballet - a classical dance demanding highly developed technique, grace and precision; Tap Dance - popular all around the world. This lively, rhythmic tapping makes the performer not just a dancer, but also a percussive musician.

World dance workshops are an ideal way to explore different cultures and cover a mix of African Dance – with its exhilarating, up-tempo foot movements to African rhythms, combined with unusual but alluring hand patterns and clapping; Indian Dance – providing an insight into modern bollywood dancing by demonstrating styles of movement and dance compositions; Irish Dance - individual and group dancing suitable to all dancers looking for a new dance form, or to sharpen skills; Soca Dance - a vibrant and colourful dance delivering a dynamic Caribbean fusion of soul and calypso; Flamenco Dance - view exciting performance demonstrations, and receive tips on how to get the “Flamenco Look” and “Mood".

Urban dance is growing in popularity more and more and has particular appeal to students at risk of becoming disengaged. Workshops include Hip-Hop -originated on the streets of America 40 years ago and still one of the most popular urban dance forms; Krumping- a dance subculture sweeping Los Angeles that has taken hip-hop “battle dance” up a notch. It is a freestyle dance form that is intense, full-bodied, fast-paced and adrenaline-driven; Salsa- Salsa can be danced on any beat or across the beat and incorporates steps from swing, rock, tango or hip-hop.
