Catalyst Theatre Arts love devising exciting projects to inspire! Their aim is for all pupils to access creative ways of learning to encourage them to achieve something amazing. They passionately believe, every day at school should be positive, where children are enthused and teachers confident.
Catalyst offer a fun, multi-arts approach, including drama, music, film, dance and visual arts to encourage and develop creative skills and awareness. They enjoy the ‘buzz’ of creating something from nothing and their passion for creativity rubs off on all participants - even reluctant ones! Their work creates new and imaginative environments both inside and outdoors. They have built Arctic climates, been Jungle explorers, danced in the northern lights and made magical gardens in school grounds. Catalyst is the first East Midlands arts organisation to be awarded the Quality Badge for Learning Outside the Classroom, a sign that you are in safe hands.
Catalyst is a team of experienced artists who work with children and adults from early years settings through to college, including Special Needs children and teachers too! Their website is packed with inspirational ideas and projects can be designed to explore specific themes; to tie in with your curriculum needs or to assist specific groups or individuals. Catalyst also provide inspiring arts based CPD to enhance your creative curriculum and have designed a number of training packages (whole day and twilight) for teaching and support staff that link to cross curricular planning and developing the creative curriculum.
Their ’hands-on’ approach to training offers teachers the chance to actually ‘do’, to develop skills and confidence and try out techniques in memorable, fun and beneficial ways. They also offer bespoke training, tailored to school’s strategic aims and plans and consultancy to assist you towards bringing the curriculum come to life, through student voice programmes, creativity evaluations, general guidance and practical ideas.
