Rope Race climbing centre has 1000 metres of climbing surfaces, three dedicated bouldering walls and a variety of routes, suitable for all abilities. They work with schools and youth groups and offer a full range of activities, including indoor and outdoor climbing, canoeing and raft building, indoor archery, team-building and multi activity days.

Rope Race are AALA registered so can take under 18`s outdoors on climbing and multi activity days/courses which can be used toward an outdoor education GCSE. They also have an indoor archery range which is hugely popular with schools and youth group as part of the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.

Rope Race activities provide an engaging alternative to conventional school sports and fulfil some National Curriculum requirements. These can be run as a one off school trip, a full week enrichment course or as part of the new National Indoor Climbing Achievement  Scheme. NICAS is the first nationally accredited award and Rope Race is a Primary & Awarding centre.

All sessions are run and managed by friendly, professional and experienced instructor's who will encourage groups to reach their full potential. The centre has a fantastic range of climbing walls with something suitable for all abilities and they can cater for groups of 8 - 80. They boast an excellent safety record and provide full risk assessments covering all activities along with their insurance and Adventure Activities Licence details.

Rope Race provides packed activity sessions in a stimulating & exciting environment that challenges students to develop self confidence and accelerate personal development in a safe & non-threatening environment. Sessions help students with problem solving & understanding, awareness & communication, trust & teamwork, self confidence, leadership, responsibility and motivation.

In addition to the indoor walls they have a mobile rock climbing wall which is ideal for adding excitement to school event. The rock is 7.5 meters high and 2.5 meters wide, has a textured finish and a variety of different coloured climbing holds. It is manned by qualified, instructors and can form part of your outdoors curriculum or NICAS awards. They will arrange logbooks for each participant and their instructors run a climbing session at your site. The mobile rock climbing wall can be set up either on grass or a hard standing area and only requires a small area for the instructors to work in.
