Circus Skills can be seen as a performance art or a sport. They are an excellent class activity - offering many links to areas of the curriculum, such as art, music, literacy and numeracy. Not only are they incredibly good fun, but once learnt, the skills will be lifelong with the benefits spilling into other aspects of life and learning.
"I have seldom known an event which has resulted in such a high level of enthusiasm. I would unreservedly recommend your workshops to any school" Mrs S King Headteacher St Breward
"An excellent day for the whole school. Very well received by staff and pupils, and the assembly was brilliant." Alexandra Park Junior School Stockport
Circusology's Circus Day begins with an entertaining introductory assembly for all the pupils followed by workshops for each class in turn. The length of each workshop will vary according to the age of the children, from 30 minutes for foundation stage to an hour and half for Year 6.
During the workshops the children will engage in a wide variety of fun challenges such as juggling with scarves, balancing peacock feathers, spinning plates and much more, all broken down into achievable steps.
With over 10 years experience of teaching circus skills we combine infectious enthusiasm with professional practice, ensuring fun and achievement for all.
Circusology is the biggest supplier of circus days to schools in the northwest. Visit the website to see a list of the schools that have enjoyed circus days and read their consistently good feedback.
