Blackpool Circus School

Blackpool Circus School workshops appeal to all that are keen on sports and those that are not. Circus as a physical education, sport or personal development option is inclusive. It provides a series of activities that cater for every child (and adult!) at whatever level they enter, or wish to attain. Circus proves that the impossible becomes possible with correct tuition and application. Blackpool Circus School specialise in the education sector, and all Key Stages are catered for.

Reception and year one: An entertaining demonstration of circus skills with help from the audience. Items include a mini tightrope, balance boards, hoop spinning, scarf passing and plate spinning to a musical accompaniment.

Key Stage 1/2: Hands on Circuit workshop. A class at a time (Max 35) following a quick demo will try up to 7 items chosen from the Diabolo, Plate spinning, Balance boards, Fun wheels, Juggling, Flower sticks and Poi.

Key Stage 3/4: Hands on circuit workshop. As above but with the possible addition of Stilt walking, Rola Bola and Unicycling. As a taster workshop we recommend at least an hour with each class. We will tailor our workshops to suit your requirements. We can come from an hour locally to a whole day, week or term. When we do a term of after school clubs in a School, the children will perform a show on the last day to the whole school and their parents.

Performance in School with the J team: Two of our young teachers who have developed outstanding skills. They can perform a 45 minute show to the whole school featuring trials and Giraffe Unicycles, plus Juggling with Clubs, balls and rings.

Circus History talk: Yuri and Tonya will visit a class room and talk about their experience in Circus & Theatres.

Fun & fete days: Ideal for a drop in session, Fun for all the family.

Children’s parties: The J team are ideal for children’s parties and can do 45 minute with a show and up to 2 hours that include a Circus workshop.

Events: The Circus school can provide stilt walkers, unicyclist and jugglers for all events.
