Visiting sculpture workshop for Key-Stage 2 and above.
The workshop aims to engage, inspire and challenge pupils.
Using finger friendly PVC wire, the ChickenWired sculpture workshops offer the opportunity for each pupil to make their own sculpture. Using simple tools and templates created by the artist, pupils cut, connect and create sculptures from chicken wire. The sculptures can also be further decorated with tissue paper to extend the skills learnt.
The workshops assist syllabus with:
- 3D art projects.
- Working with different materials.
- Follow on lessons for teachers with scrapbook report of the workshop.
- Opportunity for pupils to work with visiting artist.
- Practical workshop for all pupils.
A wide range of sculptures are available to try and suggestions of sculptures to follow themes are welcome.
Group projects are available should larger projects be preferred.
Full day, multi-day and split day (2 half day workshops) are available.
Workshops cost £300 per day.
Material costs are £1 per pupil for wire.
Travel and accommodation costs may be incurred.
Fully D&BS accredited.
