“This showed the children how inclusive folk music is, and that it’s fun to have a go. We saw another side to many of the children as their confidence grew.” - St Peter and Pauls Primary School, Wallasey

"The children absolutely loved the workshops and the assembly which catered for all children from Nursery to year 6” -St Patricks School, Toxteth

We offer a variety of packages including an introduction and taster day into exploring our rich Celtic heritage through music and the arts. We can offer Schools a bespoke package to suit their requirements and budget. We can show how music helped to keep our ancestors community informed and united. How we used music for different purposes to communicate through the ages and how our strong Celtic traditions have still survived but vary throughout the British Isles. Our project will very much focus on how we lived, socialised, entertained and even fought wars with the use of our arts.

We can introduce the children to traditional Celtic musical instruments used by our ancestors with a dynamic full Ceilidh band performance, followed by further, more detailed demonstrations of the instruments.

They can experience traditional dance with a dance caller. Stories and folk tales of our past traditions describing how we lived can come to life with a professional actor and they could perform their own interpretation of our past They could be involved in creating a piece of Celtic artwork and join in with a traditional musical performance using tuned and percussive instruments and the voice.

We can also set up lunchtime or after school clubs, Ceilidh classes, flute making projects or full scale school productions and assemblies.

Alongside our workshops we can also provide traditional instrumental tuition including: fiddle, tin whistle, bodhran, mandolin, accordion, banjo, bagpipes, ukulele, guitar, flute and keyboard.
