The Wild Roadshow specialises in educational animal handling workshops for children aged 3- 16. Their unique and exciting roadshows, which include curriculum-based topics and are hosted by highly knowledgeable presenters, allow for hands-on interaction with friendly animals, from cute and cuddly to creepy crawlies and reptiles.
“The overall response from our pupils was ‘Fantastic, exciting, interesting and fun’. The children found the experience very enjoyable and we would love to do something similar again. I have passed your details onto other Science Departments. Thank you for your calm and professional approach.” St Josephs High School, Bolton
Allow The Wild Roadshow to either introduce a new topic to your class, or consolidate work already done, making these sessions an excellent revision resource.
With curriculum based topics such as Habitats, where children can study a variety of different habitats and learn how animals have adapted to live there or Classification of living things, which involves understanding why we put animals in different groups, The Wild Roadshow can bring excitement and thrills to your classroom, whilst still being educational.
Other popular topics include: Minibeasts, The Rainforest, Life Cycles and Endangered animals and the environment.
The workshops feature cute and friendly animals such as: a Bearded Dragon, Tarantula, African Pygmy Hedgehog, Giant Snail, Giant Millipede, Giant Cockroach, Tree Frog and more. Children are given the chance to handle all of these animals with the exception of the Tarantula.
Not only are sessions educational, but also great fun, making The Wild Roadshow perfect for birthday parties, out of school clubs, libraries, museums and just about any other event!
